An environmental prop I really liked from Final Fantasy 7 Remake, I wanted to see if I could recreate it as accurately as possible to help develop my own prop modelling skills. This low poly Japanese style decorative lantern was created in 3D Studio Max, I then modelled a slightly more detailed version, which was then taken into ZBrush to be detaled as the hi poly. This was taken into substance Painter where hi poly details were baked and the textures painted.
